I bought the Whitestone Dome glass and it has been a complete failure. Both times I had an adhesive failure as detailed by the email i have copied here. I will have to remove the second glass but what is the best way to do it?
I am absolutely infuriated by the poor product quality. Follow instructions, watch youtube, etc and the product fails twice.
Thanks,
Salt.
I purchased the Dome glass kit for the note 9 on Feb 10, 2019 from Amazon.co.uk. I followed the instructions (watched the youtube video 3-4 times) but after I pulled the pin to drop the glass on the phone a small air bubble formed in the top right portion of the screen formed as the liquid spread (it moved from left to right and settle on that edge). It was a quite a large air bubble and nothing I could not remove it (pictured attached). I decided not to cure the liquid as the bubble was very visible so I cleaned up the entire setup and tried a second time.
The second attempt appeared to go perfectly however after about 1 hour after installation 2 small “lines” formed underneath the bottom buttons. I do not know what caused both failures. I used a level on the table to ensure a flat and level surface, I cleaned the phone thoroughly, used the dust sticker, I watched the video, I timed the UV light with a stop watch on my old phone, etc. I will have to remove the second screen because the lines are growing slowly over time as the adhesive has failed.
