best way transfer all to G8

Hi all, just got a G8. What is best way to get all from my S9+ to the G8.

Is is just through Google backup? Or is there a better way?

Every article on Google seems to have a different suggestion.

There is an LG transfer app.....you will need to download it onto the Samsung.

When setting up the LG it should offer this to you.

I normally just use my Google account.

Thanks. Would the LG app do a more complete job transferring things over than simple adding my Google account?
