I have both the samsung convertible charger and the first gen stand up fast charger. With the otterbox commuter on, the first gen fast charger works great. The convertible seems to disconnect the wireless charging randomly. Tried repositioning phone but kept happening.

With case removed the convertible works ok.

I just got the new 2018 edition of the Samsung wireless charger. Works great, both vertical and horizontal with or without the otterbox commuter case. Works much better than the convertible charger with the otterbox case on. I really liked the convertible charger looks and convertibility, but its just not as reliable as the original Samsung fast charger or the new 2018 fast charger. Big issue with the convertible is the lip to hold the phone doesn't work great with some cases, such as the otterbox. So, the phone doesn't sit tight to the charge pad. That is not an issue at all with the 2018 version.

Summary, 2018 Samsung wireless charger works best with cases such as otterbox.

The 2018 charger charges more reliably than the convertible. The convertible disconnects charging sometimes. I tried 3 convertible chargers with 2 different S9+. Same issue with all, occasionally disconnecting. It's all due to the lip of the charger not properly holding the phone in its case.

Hello Guys,

I decided to get me a new wireless charger for my phones and would love to get a similar wireless charger to the new Samsung’s one. However, a dual wireless charger in order to charge my iphone x and S9+. I’ve found those 2 and would like your suggestions on what to get or if there are any better ones out there.
