BestBuy S10/+: Pre-Order Thread

I did the best buy pre order on Feb 24 s10e 128 black. I got a call from best buy yesterday and set up an appointment for the verizon rep today at 12:30. This was the easiest transfer from an old s7 to the s10. The only issue is they were only going to do a $50 discount instead of the 100 discount that was displayed when i did the pre order. I didn't give them a hard time because I knew it should have been $50 discount and I figured it was a computer error. I put down 300 on the phone and I am very happy with it. I got the otterbox commuter for good protection. I am getting good battery life and I got most everything set up. The rep said he hasn't even seen a pink one. I hope the other people here get their phones before April 7 because that is an unacceptable wait time.

Hasn't seen a pink one and that is what I am waiting for. She said I was the only one to order a pink unlocked one. It'll never come. :-( She said they had a 100 pre-orders and I didn't ask how many got fulfilled today but she was expecting another truck with 60 phones by the end of the night she said.
 
wow today was crazy lol but im happy i got my phone... so went there this morning appointment at 11 but got there 15 minutes early... had to wait a half hour since other people were there...everything was smooth the trade in, buying the phone but the end was the worst...mind you i got there close to 11 but left after 1:45pm lmao... they had a tough time transferring my data... they did it the first time and i waited close to an hour just for it to freeze and not transfer anything... they did it a second time and it worked took 45 minutes but went smooth... was there so long and got hungry so bought shake shack and ate it at bestbuy while waiting for my data to transfer lol... they were cool though with being patient and transferring my data despite taking a few hours... im not sure if i like the blue color its brighter than i thought but ill keep it obviously...im happy with the phone..i focused all my attention on putting all my settings from my old phone to the new phone i didnt get a chance to play with it... the fingerprint scanner is really nice and so is the camera which i will test out more this weekend... only 1 thing im having trouble with is textra... when i get a text i dont get a notification someone texted me smh... still trying to fix that but other than that phone is great
 
Having to move my data over on the spot and hand in my phone right then was kind of annoying. I was hoping to take it all home and start fresh with the new phone. i've had bad luck moving data over before and the phone getting all mucked up. It took over 20min for my data to transfer over. The secure folder didn't transfer so we had to sort that out. My Nova settings didn't transfer so I had to figure. Finally decided that I thought I had enough - the associate was waiting for me to finish so she could go on break. So I finally gave in and reset the S9+. Got home and realized there were still several things that didn't transfer and had to re-set up and figure out the settings that I could have just copied off the phone if I still had it.

At the Verizon store they apparently give you a box to take home and ship it in when you're ready.
 
So after reading this and having a lot of worry bc I live in a smaller town so thinking my best buy wouldn't get a lot of phones in, both my girlfriend and I got our phones last night. We had pre-ordered, got the ready for pick up email at mid-night on the 7th, got the call around noon to setup an appointment to come in. So we get there and both our phones are there YAY. Mine went smooth, activated right away no issues, My girlfriends though didn't go so smooth. They turn her phone on and its got a bright white line that ran across the bottom of the phone, the screen was chipped. So now we get nervous that they won't have another White verizon S10, well we got lucky and they did!! So switched them out and everything else for her went smooth
 
Just picked up my Unlocked Galaxy S10 + from Best Buy here in Orange County, California. Was worrying just like everyone and finally got my pickup confirmation text and email last night at midnight.
Used their App to let them know I was on the way to pick up, I was literally in and out in 5-10 minutes. They also had a specific Samsung table set up with people answering questions. I'm glad I was one of the lucky ones, cause if you look online, they're out of stock on all of them. I've started with the original Galaxy S, then S4, then S6 Edge Plus till I dropped it in the water 3-4 times but I recently tried plugging in the S6 in again and miraculously it turned on What a Trooper of a phone, but this is a nice upgrade for me. Hoping for a speedy turnaround for everyone else who's waiting, can totally understand the frustration.

I walked in without a pre-order and got a White Verizon S10+ when the store opened. It was one of the smaller stores and if I had gone with a regular 10 there would have been a lot more phones available. Online said zero until 10am, then updated after they released their inventory in the system.
 
Question? My pre-order at Bestbuy is ready for pickup, I didn't go get, because the location is about a 90 minute round trip and I have to go to the city tomorrow to pick up my child so i was going to wait for that. I don't have a trade in. A Target close to me has it in stock as well with 200$ giftcard. So my question is, if I cancel my bestbuy, will it release my line quickly to be upgrade eligible again? So i can upgrade that line at Target today?
 
Sorry meant who ordered the S10+ in blue. The regular S10 model doesn't seem to have the hold up.
I ordered the S10 in both blue & white on 2/27, Verizon models, and picked them both up today. The activation and trade-out was quick & painless.
 
Ordered the blue S10+ the first day. Got the up until April 7th wait email at 6pm yesterday. ??????

I don't think its really going to take that long. I believe they are just saying if it takes that long they will just cancel the order

It should release right away. I returned a the Note 9 to target just to turn around and buy one at best buy bc best buy was giving away the wireless charger and some other things
 
I ordered Verizon S10+ in Blue on 2/23. I called the store yesterday morning and they said it was there. When I got there after lunch, they didn't have it and didn't know where it was. The store manager said there was nothing they could do. I got the delayed e-mail last night like many others.

I factory reset my phone before going in, so I had to set it back up again last night.
 
I hope you get the phone soon. The location I went to had around 60 pre orders. I was also the first person set up for an appointment that day so he might have seen pink one later that afternoon.

And I know she said just wait I'll get an email but she said a shipment of 60 phones were due in last night. Now today I am told no phones at all only the S10E she said all S10 and S10 pluses are sold out and they have no idea when they will be getting anymore in. This Sucks! Now my husband will get his Samsung prism white one before me. I won't be doing Best Buy again.
 
I picked up my preordered galaxy S10 plus yesterday morning at best buy and they were all really helpful and cool made my experience there really good

I'm sorry to hear about that are they doing anything to compensate? Would you consider taking a different color?

So after my post yesterday, I found the email address of the store. You can find it by going to the desktop version of the site. I sent my email about what happened also explaining that the staff was nothing but nice but how I didn't appreciate the inconvenience. Well apparently it goes to all of the managers in the store not just the store manager....we are now in the process of figuring out what my pain and suffering is worth and how they can assist. You may want to try it.....
