My friend is quite high up in the BestBuy infrastructure in the US and he sent me this screenshot of pricing from the staff version of the website for an unannounced unlocked variant of the G4, so here it is.

Great news if this is true...an option to buy unlocked, unbranded carrier free device will be great for people who love their phones. Normal people can buy the ugly carrier versions.

Best Buy almost always charges a $100 markup when buying a phone off contract, in my experience.

Which means it could possibly be 499-550 at maybe Verizon. Verizon is usually he cheapest off contract and best buy always marks theirs up by at least 100$ more

It's about the same as most flagship starting prices. iPhone 6 and M9 start at $650.00, and the S6 is about $680.00 depending on the carrier.
