BestBuy Unlocked G4 Pricing Leak!

If bestbuy has it listed for 650 unlocked I'd assume you will be able to get it elsewhere for 600. Best buy always charges more than msrp for unlocked phones if I recall correctly.

This is good news. I see that their only options at this time seem to be carrier locked phones... But I will wait & monitor this thread!

Yeah I'm looking for this on their site, but I can only find the carrier versions so far. Waiting...

I ended up going with the H815 from ebay. The reports in other threads was that it was compatible with AT&T and is carrier unlocked.

Same here went with H815 international version on eBay. Since I paid thru PayPal and have PayPal credit, I get 6 month no interest thing. So will spread the $700 over 6 months.

The Sprint G4 at BB is $650 to buy it outright. It's $600 at Sprint outright. Two questions, does BB price match to Sprint if buying the phone outright? And would buying the phone outright from BB include the $100 giftcard? If so, getting the G4 for essentially $500 would be a coup.

Probably have to talk to your local best buy. They should price match but they might also discount the value of the gift card if they do. Or they could price match and give you the gift card which would be ideal.

Just out of curiosity, why buy at full price instead of using easy pay? Essentially the same thing right? You can always pay off the phone with sprint at any time.

Because a long time ago in a galaxy far far away I signed up with Sprint using a credit union discount that gives me 25% off my bill. When the S3 came out and people renewed their contracts Sprint took a look at their plans and forced them to submit paperwork to prove the discount. Well, nobody had the right credentials to get that type of discount anymore so they lost out. I'm worried buying the phone through Sprint will tip them off to my discount.

(I've successfully transferred service to my current S3 that I had bought off ebay without a hitch).

Plus I think buying the phone outright and activating it myself online would save on the $36 activation fee as well.

Fair enough. I understand about the discount. We ended up losing our 23% discount 7 years after my dad retired when Sprint came asking for proof of employment. Hard to prove that being retired lol.
