Beta 8.1

Hi,

I signed up last Friday for the beta programme. Other users report that they get OTA updates.

Nothing has yet has showed up for me yet. Is this normal?

It usually updates as soon as your enroll. Go into the update menu and check for updates. you should get it. I've never had to wait on beta program.

I have read elsewhere that Google is investigating some people installing the beta have their phone go into bootloop after the initial restart. They may be holding back on new installs temporarily.

For some reason I had to wait 5 hours or so to get the OTA this time.

I've also been waiting for my update it's been 3 days so far. I constantly check also. In the past I've always gotten them Immediately

havent seen it on the 2. I hear the 2XL has had it pop up successfully. my friends 2016 pixel got it. maybe they are still working on something with it

I've also read that there were issues with bootloops for some users like N4Newbie posted above so I'm hoping that Google is trying to resolve that before pushing it to my phone. I'm anxious for VOLTE!

I just checked for update and it finally came thru! Pixel 2 non XL. Will report back once completed.

Reported a bug today. The Play store crashes on App Updates on my P2 XL 8.1 when I try to "read more" In the details about the Update. Did it for three different apps that needed an update.

To be clear the app updated fine, I just like to always read the details and so it is only crashing on the "Read More" link.

My Pixel 2 just started downloading the OTA. Was a little over 24h since I enrolled.

I just received my P2 today and I already have the beta 8.1 installed. No problems so far.

I have not seen any sign of that. I prefer the muted colors myself but if it was in display settings I see no sign of it.
