Better performance after network outage?

I'm hoping that this recent outage was actually planned and that they were tweaking the network to correct the problems people have been reporting with their Thunderbolt dropping coverage.

Anybody noticing a better connection since the outage?

Thats a nice happy thought. I am getting improved speedtest via 4G at my house but then I go back to 1X, so not really better... yet.

Well, I did notice that I had longer hot water in the shower from my water heater today after my wife took her bath first.

After the outage i am getting 4.XX mb up and 1.7mb down with speed test. Not sure what it was before but this is with 4g and half service.

Loving the mobile hotspot feature. Too bad i have to keep it plugged into the wall because the USB charger doesn't have enough Juice to charge it while running hotspot.

Just ran a speed test and seem to be getting about the same result as I did before in NW Houston.

Even trying to run that test, it the 4G kept going in and out. I had to get back on wifi to post the image above after the speed test because there wan't a data connection.

When was your last reboot? Smartphones have evolved to near PC's where you have to reboot them every once in awhile to clear the system memory.

all i done is just send txt and 1 phone call. phone keeps going from 4g to 3g then to nothing back and forth...

That's weird, have you tried to update your roaming (*228)? I can't recall if that's needed with this phone, but it may help.

My data was out for a few hours. It's back up and running again. Data is just as fast as it was before. Which is blazing fast!

Mine will actually charge while running Mobile Hotspot if plugged into the Laptop via USB. I've noticed the light amber when starting with the Mobile Hotspot and green when done.

Is there something going on today as well? I normally have 3G at the office, but have only has 1X all day. I went out a bit ago, and was 1X and then all of a sudden 4G (in a 4G area). It seems like there is no 3G at all.

Im in in Heights, clsoe to downtown H-town and i was on 1x all morning until about an hour ago.

Question: When you say reboot are you referring to a battery pull or doing a restart from the phone mode?
