Picking up my Sprint Nexus-S 4G tonight, will root it, and want a more stock looking ROM, that makes the phone faster/smoother than stock with the pull down menu widgets, but also use the phone a lot, so need good battery life too. Plus I want a cool black and white minimalistic theme too.

Looking around I have decided between these two ROM's;

Oxygen;
[ROM-AOSP GRJ22][NS+NS4G] Oxygen-2.1.6 (Latest gingerbread, clean & simple) - xda-developers

Deck, by kush;
[7-30-11][ROM] gingerbread-ns4g-deck [1.3b][2.3.5 beta] - xda-developers

What would you recommend and why ?
Thanks

Oxygen. Some of Decks roms work find but I find every few roms he puts out a stinker and, at least me and 5 or so other people, cannot change the notification tone which is kind of annoying and his last release is very buggy and doesn't play nicely with streaming apps. I have found Oxygen to be just as fast if not faster and it has better battery life. It doesn't have as many features as CM7 or Deck but at least all the features work and they didn't throw in half baked features.

Enik, thanks for the advice.

I was leaning towards Oxygen to begin with. Sounds like a cleaner setup, faster but also better battery life.

What is your opinion of a different launcher for this ? I like ADW ex, it allows for custom home screen with more rows of apps. I should I not do that with this ROM and phone ?

With Oxygen, can I still install themes ? But it seems the majority of the themes I like, the black and white minimalistic stuff is for CM 7 based ROM's, will those work on Oxygen ?

I prefer launcher pro plus because I find adw crashes a lot and this has been an issue on multiple devices. Go launcher is ok and so is zeam but launcher pro is the most stable and it has some nice scrollable Widgets.
