Of the banks I have dealt with, Synchrony is the fishiest and the worst in customer service. My previous jobs included calling insurance companies for verification of coverage and resolution to issues and they're not nearly as bad a CS of Synchrony.
I think they are emboldened to be more fishy because they do not really have physical banks. Google needs to get rid of them for their sake. Even Capital One that seems to have lots of complains is no where near how bad Synchrony is.
I'm not generally against outsourcing but Synchrony outsourced their CS to very bad call centers. I already called several times and I really get bad CS.
Never dealt with Wells Fargo but I have heard of that issue.
So far Google has not called me back but as soon as I get off work I will change my payment method and then close that damn account.
