Bezel - yea or nay

I've seen a few negative comments here and elsewhere about the "excess" bezel on the top and bottom of the N7. My kids and I like it because it's easy and comfortable to hold in landscape and there's enough room to grip without accidentally brushing the screen. That it's symmetrical makes it feel natural for gripping for gaming (I picked up one for each of my kids, for games and school), but makes the choice not to have the launcher flip to landscape when rotated seem even more curious.

So we are "yea."

I like the bezel. When reading in portrait mode, I find it nice to be able to grip on to the bottom edge like I was holding a book.

I like it as well. It gives me plenty off room without worrying about touching the screen when I don't want to.

I think the bezel on the top/bottom is perfect for landscape mode and doesn't bother me for portrait.

However, when you're holding in portrait mode, the bezel on the left/right is a bit too thin to rest your thumb on naturally without touching the screen (if you're trying to hold it like a book). I've discovered myself inadvertently starting apps or bringing up the wallpaper gallery because of this. I've had to get used to palming the whole Nexus 7 in order to counteract this issue. Not a deal breaker, but an inconvenience that takes some getting used to.

I say "yea". It makes holding the N7 in landscape easy and portrait doesn't bother me in the least.

Yeah here, but too. I always had a problem holding my Kindle customers there was stuff that would pop down from the top. Annoying. Don't have that problem with my N7 :-)

Yeah I dig the bezel. I think top and bottom could be 1-2mm smaller, but works fine. Doesn't bother me a bit and is great for gripping.

Not a fan of the large bezel myself. My current tablet has a very small bezel all the way around and it's plenty easy to hold without touching the screen. I guess having a thin light tablet makes a difference in holding a thin bezel though.
