Big time lag....

I have had my fascinate 2 months now. Love it, coming from a blackberry. I'm running ADW launcher and I have a wicked lag. If I root will that fix the lag? I'm petrified of rooting, I don't want to brick my phone.... can someone point me in the right direction. I attempted to root the other day.....finally got up the guts to try it..... downloaded the drivers, plugged it in, turned on debugging, windows prompt came up, it said pushing the files to my phone......thats it..... I left it like that for 20 min....still nothing.

Rooting did not fix my lags. Have you tried cleaning all cache files and rebooting phone? I find the most "lagginess" comes when I have too many apps running.

As for rooting, does the z4root work on the Fascinate? Easiest method around...

best thing to get rid of lag is get your device rooted and flash a clean rom that has all the bloatware removed.

Best thing I could have done to my phone. Second best is to get a good kernel. It will increase the performance of your phone and likely increase the battery life.

Rooting isnt a lag fix, it actually does nothing....all it does is gives you permissions to alter system files.
