Bing Maps gets an Android SDK

Can't we just decide as a community to ban anything Bing. Not even necessarily because it's bad (which it is terrible) but because MS is trying to force it on us as bloatware.

^+1 to clucernoni

it might not be so bad if MS and vzw didnt try to force it on you at every turn.

Freedom!

I like it. I also think these OS wars are silly and immature.

Bah..I hate to admit this...Ive used Bing Nav before on windows mobile, and I have to say, I kind of like it better than the built in android nav. It seems like an updated Tom-Tom type system, which in my opinion isnt a bad thing. Im still going to stick with google maps and the built in Nav just because I dont need a whole 'nother map program on my phone.

I've been in IT for about 20 years. During that time I have supported DOS, Windows, MAC, Linux, hpBasic, and Unix (a few flavors). Bottom line, there is always a case for each. Just depends on your needs. Being blinded by silly OS wars is ridiculous. Unless you're just happy to be "anti" something. :) Admittedly, the Android platform, as the Linux platform, tends to collect a lot of "anti" sentiment type of folks. Not sure I understand that... routing for the underdog maybe? I dunno...

Bing could not find itself. I like that they have added it, but I'd never even buy a phone with Bing let alone use it to find anything at work or on my phone.
