I just posted details of this on a separate thread (sorry should have put it all here... mods maybe you can move/attach). Letstalk.com has bionic for $199 for upgrade, no tax, free overnight shipping. If you want to keep your existing unlimited data plan it's $20 more. Somehow this makes me feel confident that I'm not losing unlimited. And if you order through ebates.com, you get a $45 rebate.

BJs is a wholesale club like Sam's club or Costco. They have a corporate Verizon store inside (not just a retailer).

I went this morning a few mins after they opened. No one on line and I got my Bionic with no problem. Since they're a corporate outlet, they didn't have any bundles or deals. They did have specials on the accessories though. One of them was the laptop dock had a $100 mail in rebate (not sure if that's at all verizon stores or just at the BJs ones). You pay $300 and get $100 in the mail, so your net cost for the laptop dock is $200 ( I didn't buy it).

I also had an employee discount through work, and they thought that I would be able to get 25% off the laptop dock, which would have been - RIDICULOUS. Unfortunately it didn't work because verizon priced the dock slightly differently ($299.97 or something). oh well.

so far i'm liking the wirefly deal since there is no costco around me unless i drive an hour for it with no guarantee that there will be any phones left by the time i get there. and essentially i think the wirefly deal is about the same since you just pay 250 AND you get 100 gift card which you can still buy the accessories you want from there. if anyone find a better deal anywhere else let me know. thanks

Are the NE2 discounts generally better than the annual upgrades were? I have my last annual upgrade available but the Bionic is showing up at $290 online for me with that. Would the NE2 be a better discount?

Also, I am assuming that the 3rd party retailers, like Best Buy, Amazon etc require you to be available to upgrade at your 20 month mark rather than the 1 year mark, is that correct?

Walmart is $199.99 with new plan. I see $219.99 when I keep my plan the same. Still a great price but the accessory deal at Costco is hard to pass up if true.

I thought about that deal also but for CA it would be a wash (not sure what the retail price is, but I suppose I'd have to pay $45-$50 in tax). Amazon in my experience processes things much much faster than Walmart online. On the flip-side, Walmart has physical stores.

I didn't do the Costco deal since the accessories were 3rd party (the bundle on the website was) and figured it couldn't be worth more than $40 tops (screen protectors, case, car charger).

Still waiting for shipment from Amazon (which probably will come from VZW anyways)?

Never was eligible for some reason for the $100 VZW card from upgrading from basic to smartphone. So the wirefly deal of $100 was just a "possibility" and bet the majority of people here aren't eligible. I wouldn't buy it unless I got the e-mail code first (for the $100 card)

just ordered the bionic at wirefly for 250 with 100 gift card to verizon to but accessories and overnight shipping for only 19.99. not a bad deal at all since i have no membership to the costco that's an hr away from me. though if you do order from wirefly on the phone it's gonna take a half hour because they ask you a butt load of questions. i couldn't order online since my credit card kept getting declined for some odd reason. plus the only accessory i'm interested in is the car mount so i can use it as gps and such. peace!

Since all Costco in Orange County and Inland Empire seems to be sold out, didn't want to wait for next shipment. Went to Verizon Wireless store and ask them to give me the Costco Package. They said they cant match the price, which I already know that. But was able to get all of it for $350.00 before tax.

Not too bad of a deal.

SO ASK ABOUT PROMOS!

I got the DB for $102 after tax and everything OTD. $299 less $100 NE2 (I've been saving it) less $110 free month + tax on $199. WOOT!

Everyone was so focused on getting the Costco deal that some really missed out on a good opportunity. I paid essentially $112 for the phone including tax & overnight shipping. I went to Verizon & got 5 accessories. With the 25 % off, I still didn't pay the full $299.99 for the phone.

I already had a $100 NE2 that I was saving. I asked if there were any promotions. The rep offered me a month service free $120. $299-100-120=$79. Came to $112 including tax & overnight shipping.

I then went to Verizon & picked which accessories I wanted . Accessories for 3 or more were 25 % off. The extended battery was 50 % off. I got battery charger with extra battery $49.99 (37.49) Car charger $29.99 (22.49), Incipio case $24.99 (22.49), extended battery $49.99 (24.99) plus a multimedia dock for my child's CHARGE $49.99 (37.49)

Total for accessories..$163. 29

I looked at the accessories in the Costco bundle & realized I wouldn't use most of them so I'd rather make my own bundle & get the 25% off.

Total cost of phone + 5 accessories= $112 + 163.18 = $273.18

The Costco bundle was valued at around $160.00. 25 % off that would be $120.00. So, even if I bought the accessories included in the Costco bundle from verizon I would have spent only

$112 + $128.4= $240. 40 including tax.

Just something for those who have a NE2 that can't be used at Costco to think about.
