Bixby button can be recapped to Google Assistance

I'm willing to give Bixby a go. I'm glad there is a means to remap the button if I don't like it.

You do realize that the app used to remap the button states that part of the permissions used allow the app access to all of your personal data and all your text input INCLUDING your credit card numbers. Doesn't anyone check what permissions an app is taking? You just give some developer access to all your information including your cc numbers?

Who needs hackers when people seem overjoyed to give away their critical data.

agreed

those who allow it are fools.

No wonder people say apple is a better bet when it comes to security.

How is Bixby different then Siri as far as security. I've never had either, just wondering.

In the grand scheme of things, it's not...it just comes down to who do you trust to not "lose" all the data they collect on you. From what I've seen, Apple has done a better job implementing security overall. But they are not bulletproof either.

No matter which platform you use, the NSA can access all of it, and they hack or have agreements with manufacturers and ISPs to get customer data if they want. So if you're someone that the government currently or may soon be targeting, probably better stick with one of these:

What about something like package disabler? Could something like that be used since it doesnt require root?

I was under the impression that Package Disabler could only disable stuff that you could already do manually through the App Manager. Is that not correct?

If that is correct, it wouldn't help anyway, because the Bixby apps that I could find are not disable-able.
