So I keep reading that after an update I will be able to remove Bixby...

So I updated and maybe I am missing something but I can't find the ability to remove Bixby ...please someone give me step by step how to get rid of this monstrosity ..

Nope, you can turn it off, but not remove it. And the button is not re-mappable from stock, you have to install a 3rd party app that 'intercepts' the button action.

I am able to turn off the button. Is there a way to turn it off so i dont have it turn on when i swipe left?

.i found the 3rd party app and directions after the upgrade

There are quite a few on the Play Store, but glad you found one that worked for you. Just remember, most of these apps will be blocked when Samsung updates their system or Bixby, so you might be unable to re-map the button for a couple days while the apps are re-coded to work again.

I think you have to give the remap app accessibility setting, you do on the one I have.
