Black Ceramic - Smudges like crazy

I know that glass phones have always been fingerprint magnets especially darker glossy finishes but boy the ceramic is the worst I have ever seen for this.

See attached and my hands were pretty clean when I filmed this!

Yep... Glass + Dark background behind glass = instantly see smudges.

Were they truly black on the back? Also your hands could be more oily right now versus before. Lots of factors -- but either way glass + dark back = smudge city. It is just how it is. That is why some people grab White / Silver phones because the smudges are there but just way harder to see with that kind of background unless you are the right angle.

It does smudge like crazy, but not any different than the Note 9 to me, which is glass. Both look the same to me very quickly. Just is what it is.

I had the note 9 (blue) and S9 plus (black) and did not notice it as much. So far this one is smudging from all areas of the hand not just finger tips, it's crazy.

Maybe I should have stuck with ceramic white pre-order!

It doesn't smudge any more than any glass device. My note 9 is the same as my S10 plus. I don't see a difference at all.

The more reflective and mirror-like the finish, the more smudgy. That black ceramic is absolutely stunning, but it will inevitably be a finger-print magnet. Still, it's my favorite S10 color along with Prism White.

Not more smudgy. Just you can see it more is all. The smudges are the same.

I have the white ceramic and that looks good even with my fingerprints all over it. Slippery as hell though. Twice already it has slipped off the table and sofa all by itself.

I had the iPhone 7 plus or 6 plus which had this glossy black color finish and that shows smudges like anything. Any dark glass or dark ceramic color is going to show crazy fingerprints and smudges. One reason I always opt for white or light color glass back. Doesn't matter at the end since I put in a case but still once in a while I take out case at home.

Yes it does not smudge any more they just show more. Have to say though the ceramic feels soooo good in the hand just screams premium.

Unless you don't plan on using a case, this really is a non issue IMO.
