Black Friday deals?

It appears that the current Best Buy discount applies to the Pixel 6, but not to the Pixel 6 Pro, at least for now. I'm hoping that when the vendors receive more inventory next week, they might offer some discount on the Pixel 6 Pro; but given the high demand for that model, and the fact that it's already priced a little lower than anticipated, I'll be pleasantly surprised if there are any Black Friday deals on the Pro.

Unfortunately, as I read it, the Verizon promotion offering a $200 discount on the Pixel 6 Pro is available only to subscribers with "unlimited" plans. We have a grandfathered "family" plan with Verizon that we've maintained with satisfaction for many years, and switching to an unlimited plan now would ultimately cost me more than the $200 I would save on the purchase of the phone under this promotion. So unless another enticing "no-strings" discount is offered by Verizon or Best Buy or another vendor during the Black Friday sales, I'd be better off ordering the device from the Google Store and using my 10% store credit (as a Google One subscriber) to obtain a Gen 2 Pixel Stand for free.

Amazon has the P6 (I think only the Kinda Coral and unlocked) for 549 right now....Not a huge discount, but it's 50

Update: I just went to check again, says no more now....

Same here...the Verizon deal would not work for me as I'm on a shared data plan with three other members of my family. I'm glad at this point that I didn't wait for BF deals this year as I've been enjoying my P6P for a little over a week now and it doesn't seem that there would be any 6P deals that I could have taken advantage of.

Congrats on the early acquisition of your new Pixel 6 Pro. I trust that I'll be equally satisfied when I get one, but I'm in no hurry. I'm perfectly content to continue using my Pixel 5, which is an excellent device, until the time is right for me to purchase a 6 Pro, which offers enlarged storage and some nifty new features that appeal to me. Based on past experience when I bought the Pixel 2 XL and the Pixel 5, I've concluded that it's best for me to wait at least a month after the release date -- not merely to take advantage of any Black Friday deals, but to allow ample opportunity (a) for early purchasers and reviewers to provide their feedback/impressions; and (b) for Google to provide software updates that remedy some initial glitches and improve performance. I wasn't anticipating that the demand for the 6 Pro would create this much delay in availability of the product, but it appears that the stores and carriers should have inventory again by the end of this month or early December.

We call this "wisdom." Jumping into the hoopla at release can be perilous. I have to fight my basic urge to dive in every time, but I've learned to temper my fervor and do my homework. I too am keeping my P5 for a while. Its perfect for me and has everything I need. I'm sure I'll end up with a 6/6 Pro at some point but it sure helps to ease the upgrade angst if still love your current mobile.
