Mmmm, yeah, Nexus 7's are cool, but I can't think of a practical use for them. I already have a capable Android Smartphone, and a slick laptop dual booting Linux Mint and Windows 7, what can a Nexus 7 do that I can't do between my two devices?
Don't get me wrong, I just think that the Nexus 7 is a fun little $199 toy, and its portability is very nice, but for capabilities, I don't think I need one right now.

It's still cheaply made, bad GPS, nearing end of life, little development....
I would much prefer a One V or Evo V.

Well let's just say some people, not including me and i guess you can bring a laptop or xbox to game or watch movies at work without looking ridiculous. And a cell phone is way to small to watch movies comfortably. I spend many many hours at work on my nexus 7 taking advantage of the free unfiltered wifi.

Very interesting views.
I can see how you make use of it in a real-life situation, and a Nexus 7 would make sense with your needs.
I however, am a high school student so a laptop for homework, Xbox for gaming and an Optimus V for communication are just fine for me.
