black screen, cracked glass - help

Son had new mesmerize ONE week - he fell down with it in his pocket-cracked screen AND is all black.
It is working as you can hear when he gets a message or call - but useless w/no visual.
Is there a way we can replace what needs to be replaced to make workable again? (no insurance)

If the entire screen is black along with the screen being cracked then that would most likely mean that you need to replace both the LCD panel and the new front glass as well.

What would the estimated cost be to get it fixed? I have the same problem with my Samsung Galaxy S.
