Black screen during calls

So I'm coming from samsung phones the one thing that I am really missing is when you pull the phone away from your head while on a call the screen doesn't come back on. On my samsung and use the IR sensor to determine whether or not you have the phone to your head and when you moved it away the screen would light back up and give you the options. Does anyone know, if there is a setting on this phone that would enable that type of function?

Are you using a screen protector? Many of them will interfere with the phone's proximity sensor...
