Black spot in camera?

I just noticed this yesterday. The main camera on my s3 has this dark spot in the center. It shows up on the screen when using the camera app and becomes a part of all pictures. I've cleaned the camera glass and inspected it closely under a magnifying glass and see no scratches or marks on the glass. Any ideas?

I have the same thing... did you find a solution?

I don't even know if anyone uses a GT-I9300 anymore.

I do. And over the past 2 weeks I noticed the same black dot.

I've not read every post.

When I got this handset (second hand) it had sen better days so I rebuilt it. The only thing original was the electronic guts. So I knew what I was getting into when I opened her up this afternoon.

My solution involved compressed air.

I took the back shell off removing the 7 screws and gently prizing the back shell from the bezel edge. I used an air compressor and blew the hell out of the camera sensor for a few minutes.

Problem solved. No more black spot.

Everyone who said it was debris/dust/microscopic particles inside the sensor were correct. Blowing it with my mouth didn't work.

Back to happy. I like my 64GB+64GB Galaxy with Cyanogenmod ROM and Pitch Black theme.

I've had this issue 3 times now, on my s7, i reolaced the camera twice and the infamous dot is back, is therre a quick fix or do i need to just reolace the camera everytime this dot shows up, ive troed cleaning it and blowingthe dot away with an air hose. SOS
