black vs white Note 4

I am having the most difficult decision deciding.

I like the white front, I think it looks really nice. I also had the white S3 which I liked. Looking at a white phone just makes me happier for some reason. And conversely, looking at a black phone makes me feel the opposite. The white phone also looks more inviting and makes me feel more at ease/calm. I did check out the white Note 4 and black Note Edge as a proxy for black (no regular model available in black) as well as videos/pictures online.

However, since the Note line is much larger, the white back seems a bit much, perhaps too eye-catching? I need to use my phone in professional settings (graduate/professional school) and I don't know how I feel about taking out a phone with a humongous white (textured) back. I won't be in business meetings or anything like that so it won't be in super formal settings; the issue is more I suppose how self conscious I will feel knowing probably every single person's eye will be on the back of my giant white phone when I'm using it. The black on the other hand I know will have no problems with that and will be more discreet in use.

Help me decide! Thoughts? Right now I am leaning towards pre-ordering the white model.

Who gives a rat's *** what other people think... I for one dont care.... it's my phone, and it's a beauty !!!
So if you want to rock the white Note 4 ... go for it !!!!

The white is gorgeous... I'm definitly going for that one, wanted the Pink at first, but I think I might get bored of the pink colour...
So white it is... for me...

Good Luck

What makes you think you can't use a white phone in a business setting? You're over thinking it because that's not true. Just go with the one you want.

I use my phone in a business setting and I don't think the color choice matters. I currently am using my Note 2 (Still love it) I passed up the N3 because they only had black. After sooooo many years of owning black phones, I Love the white and will be getting a N4 in white as well!

I'm I the only one that loves the gold one ??

I like the gold too, and probably would have been my first choice. But wanted the phone pre-order, so I got white. My DH got black, so we'll have both black and white in our household.

I want pink but I'm not willing to wait months for it. I considered a pink SView but the phone is too nice to cover imo. So clear case with black celly for me.

For me, A problem with the white version is its too noticeable. You see the screen and the white around it. Whereas the black bezels seem to blend into the display. Makes viewing the screen less distracting. Also the buttons and notification led all stand out better on the black.

Went to BB the other day and they only had white N4's on display.

Well today I went again and lo and behold they had both white and black on display :) .
Both colors looked great. I just wanted to see if there was any difference in the grain, feel and hardness of the back cover - a subject that has been discussed several times here.

This is my observation and is not intended to dispute anyone else's views. I found absolutely NO difference in any way shape or form between the white and black back covers other than obviously the color. They both felt the same and looked the same. One was not harder, softer, more plasticky, nor slipperier than the other. That being said I decided to go with the black instead of the white I originally wanted . Getting to see them side by side at last was very helpful in making the final decision.
I did not test any of the features to any degree as I had already done so previously. This was just to get a good look at both colors.

I think it's a win-win decision, and a really hard one.

Form or function. For me, white is the form and black is the function since the black bezel disappears with screen viewing but the white is the looker.

Pre ordered a white one from sprint store now i am counting the days

yup same here I pre ordered from best buy and put 50 dollars down and plan to trade my phone in for 200 dollar trade in credit towards the purchase of the note 4 and with gift cards my total will come to 24 dollars just for the phone

Nice find on the picture comparison. It looks like the white hides the samsung logo better than the black.

Exactly this. I chose function and went with black.

The one difference that bugs me the black one has lines through the back and recent app buttons and the white one does not when they are lit up. I ordered a black one and don't know if I can live through two years of having lines through the light up buttons. Had my note 2 the past 2 years and still love it.
