Blackberry 9700 bold tether to xoom?

has anyone been able to thether the Blackberry 9700 bold to the xoom? I'm just tearing through Verizon's one gig limit (500meg in 5 days) and want to try and avoid overage charges!

I`ve looked into this as well with my blackberry torch and it won't work blackberry doesn't allow it. However blackberry OS 6.1 which should be coming out when the playbook drops will have the functionality. So as long as the bold can handle 6.1 you should be good.

If anyone else has an alternative I'd love to know.

This would be awesome. I'm thinking of selling my Thunderbolt, going back to a BB and getting the Xoom. Any idea when 0S 6.1 is coming out?
