this blackberry phone will be sweet. something totally different in android world. not for everyone but I do feel many business oriented people will enjoy it. blackberry android software came long way since blackberry priv was released. it is mature and runs great.
I would buy dtek60 if it was not for my priv but mercury might be my next upgrade.

BlackBerry have 2 selling points. A great qwerty keyboard that may attract the nostalgia in people and their software with enhanced security utilizing their DTEK app.

If they can nail the advertising in both areas, they have a chance at doing well. It's rumoured to cost around $549 and with the new fingerprint sensor it's worth the money. (In my opinion) :)

what nostalgia ?. typing on physical keyboard is always better than virtual keyboard. there is a reason why apple add physical keyboard to ipad pro. if virtual keyboard was superior apple would not have physical keyboard offering.

I would buy it if the specs can match GS7, NOTE7, etc... otherwise I will opt out because I don't need a cheap spec phone and usually, that's what blackberry tends to make. If it has 4gb ram and a cpu upgrade like a 821 then I'd be a little more happy paying a fortune for the device. I hope they don't do the 3gb ram again..

I do not know about that. DTEK 60 has high end specs for decant price

I wouldn't call the dtek60 decent. For a lower price you can grab a note5, g5, s7 etc.. on ebay or Amazon for much less.

Sure I agree the specs are decent but it is definitely not reasonably priced.

for sure it make perfect sense to compare used phones to brand new phone...

The physical keyboard is attractive but the top of this is just plain ugly. They should have rounded the corners out and made it black. Am I not right in thinking this is BlackBerry's last device too? That doesn't fill me with confidence.

I am glad bb is still around. I think with android, for many they are getting the best of both worlds (qwerty keyboard and the enhanced security on top of android)
