Blackberry style contact search

Shimon, the developer will be working on the interface to make TakePhone work with TouchDown. I already emailed him about this.

Thanks for the tip, I have downloaded The trial of takephone. I used it on my kyocera 7135 years ago.

The issue I have with it is that my exchange contacts synced with Touchdown do not seem to be recognized by takephone on my Motorola's Droid.

I use the built in app to sync my contact and Touchdown for email. Unless I'm missing something, I don't see any advantage to using TD for contacts.

I like having all my data in touchdown. My contactscshow up in the regular contact apparently, but Takephone does not seem to recognize it.

Hi,

Just posted a new version of aTAKEphONE - 1.20 - at the Market.

This version supports OS 2.1 (Droid, Nexus One, ...), and also supports searching more fields (notes, companies...), and all contact accounts synced.

If you like the "Try before you buy" approach - you can get a full featured 30 days trial at my website.

Thanks

uh.. 15 years & 3200 contacts to phone, smstxt, email, etc..
Prob should have stuck with BlackBerry!

I am running 2800 contacts for the same reason. The BB is fine but if you are in technology, you find you want to try something different.

I fully understand the desire to type a fragment of the first and fragment of the last names. My Windows Mobile 6.1 phone did this and it wasn't even a good phone. Funny that a phone from a company known for search doesn't have such a basic search capability.

You can download Gesture Search. You don't type, but draw each letter and it will search for you like the OP was asking.
