There are some system level Facebook hooks that can't be removed, but can be disabled.

The article feels like a bit of a half truth... Sammy definitely has a bloat problem, but there are also a lot of bespoke software features that account for some of that space. S-Pen stuff, Dex, and the modes & routines stuff spring to mind.
It's also disingenuous to claim that 60GB is nearly half of the 128GB model if they haven't actually verified that is how big the system partition is on that model, which was the impression I got.
Don't get me wrong though, as I said, they DO have a bloat/crapware problem, this reporting just seems a bit sloppy... and Ars used to be so good...

Problem is 60gb for OS is very big size to consume I like to see this for myself or hear more about it .

Oh, it's definitely a lot of storage... But it is also nothing new lol. Looking at battery and device care my S21 ultra system partition is 76 GB and my flip 4 system partition is 67 GB. Samsung should actually be applauded for bringing the system partition size down haha.
