my guess is that Mustangs system partition is so small because of all the crap he's pulled out of it and disabled with package disabler lol.

Strange, what happened to your app calculation?

You have to allow a special access permission... I wonder if the system calculation will go down if I allow that...

Yep, system is now 35.64 on the S21 Ultra and 35.69 (nice) on the Flip 4.

I think what we have here is a nothing burger.

Although I do wonder now why Laura's system usage is so big.

EDIT: Oh, nevermind, she has a 512, makes sense now.

I will say that always having both Google and Samsung apps has always annoyed me. They do like their bloat. Harsh article though but the truth is sometimes harsh.

The higher the storage the more the system takes up, yeah allow access makes sense

I never mind that as I use both and just deleted whatever I didn't.

The system takes up 42GB on my S22U. I won't mind an additional 20GB of system code on my S23U in exchange for the extra 256GB of storage.

I did after I responded but drawing a blank? What do I need to do for that? The phone is at home so will take a look after work.
Go to setting>apps>3 Dot upper right corner tap>special access tap>data usage see My files has permission

I allowed only 2 cores to run and some system apps to power the screen on

I actually use the Samsung apps over the Google apps with the exception of Google Messages. So even though I understand what the article is alluding to, I don't personally consider those apps bloat.

I do delete or disable things like Facebook, Spotify & Netflix. I don't really participate in social media, nor do I stream music or videos. However, if I did, they wouldn't be bloat either. Bloatware will always be subjective to the individual. (IMO)
