Bloatware or Apps that you Turned Off

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I am brand new to this forum and the Note 3..
Switched from yrs of battling Itunes and Iphone 5 as my last iphone..
By turning these apps off do they have to be turned back on to use, or are they just not running in the background all the time??
I've certainly picked up some great info here..
Loving the switch to Android..
Thanks for any help..
Sonny

You go to settings applications open the open the app that you would like to turn off and then select turn off up where normally the uninstall button is.

What difference does it make if you don't use them anyway?
I personally uninstalled most of this crap. I'm on a Galaxy S5 but the idea is the same in all androids.

So far my phone is not only much faster, but also has far more internal storage space, far more available ram and holds a charge nearly 3x longer on heavy usage and charges exponentially faster. Rooting is the way to go if you truly want to rid bloatware. It's the reason I go Android. iPhones are good for not having bloatware but are far too restricting for me to care about them in the very least.

Google edition phones have little to no bloatware which is why people find them very appealing as well as Nexus devices. But unless it has external, it's not worth risking completely uninstalling certain apps or settings in case of a major glitch or even brick. External memory means a complete and full backup of the phone itself entirely and outside of the internal memory where it can always be reached =)

And why did you get the note 3?
Well if its anything like me and no doubt many other users of "Note/s"..... theres a lot I love about the note and a little that I don't, just like any other handset, disabling/uninstalling a few bits just enhances our experience and we learn a little in the process of doing so
