Bloatware Removal on Infuse?

Will have Infuse in hand tonight and plan to root soon after (mainly to enable "free" Wifi tethering) using SuperOneClick method.

I am also entertaining the idea of removing some of the inevitable AT&T bloatware. Has anyone done this yet? Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated. From the research I've done, the best method to use is to use Titanium BackUp to "freeze" rather than delete the unwanted apps (so I can later unfreeze them in able to receive any forthcoming OTA updates). There is a guide here -- [How to] Deal with Bloat Safely & Properly {Freeze Method/ROOT} | BIGGER LIST(S)! 3/1 - xda-developers -- though it is written for the Atrix. But, unless I am mistaken, the underlying method would apply.

So, I'd like to hear back if anyone has started this process, or used Titanium Backup to freeze any apps on their new Infuse 4G! :p

Thanks!

Freezing bloatware after rooting is always the best way so you can get future updates easily i personally have not messed with rooting my infuse yet as im waiting to see if we can get some official gingerbread ETA soon.

For some reason official OTA updates have something that checks for the bloatware and if it is missing sometimes it will botch the update. or not allow it.

Step 1: Get root access
Step 2: Use this handy app to remove bloat
Step 3: Prosper

Thank you - seems simple enough.
Follow up question to your proposed steps: If I were to use that app to REMOVE (rather than freeze) an app or two that I did not want on the phone, wouldn't that mean no more OTA updates (say, to Android 2.3)? If permanent deletion/removal of bloatware means no more OTA update support, then I'm out and want no part of it. That's why I was enticed by the freeze option in Titanium BackUp. If you could please clarify this issue, I'd appreciate it.

Correct. You would need to flash back to stock first (not sure how to do that with the Infuse - most Samsung phones use the computer program Odin).

Root your phone. Buy the Bloatware Freezer app in the Market. Works like a charm.
