I noticed that Blockbuster OS showing an update in the Market. This app was causing drain until we all updated it the first time and disabled movie catalog.
What do we do now? Update it again? Ignore? Advice?
You can always go back and select uninstall updates..but then you are left with whatever the original version that came with the device. This is why I never update these bloatware apps when everything is already working fine. You don't have much control over them and you can get really screwed(unless you're rooted).Well, i updated it, and im having absolutely horrible battery issues. Im drawing like 400-500 mA when the screen is on (30%), and 150-250 mA idle. but it doesnt show up in the about>battery>percentages thing.
i have no idea whats going on
Ok, thanks. I'll not update it. Can't you uninstall the update? See if that helps your battery. Also, check to make sure the catalog updates within the app are still disabled. Mine enabled on its own last week and drained my battery.
What's using your battery under Power settings? Have you tried a reboot to kill a rogue app?
Screen brightness, GPS status?
I never touched the app and never updated and it has never cause battery drain or ran processes so I never touch them and do nothing. I have 20mah with screen off always so it is not running and I never updated it to turn it off.
I think we all know that when the TBolt was released that the Blockbuster app had a bug that was harmful. But, assuming that with the update the bug is now fixed, why is it the worst app ever?Worst app ever. I couldn't wait to get it off my phone. Do you guys check it regularly to see if it updated itself, or just when you have a problem?

Dude, it's Blockbuster
If you need more proof look at the rating it has in the market. 11,000 ratings= 2.5 stars
The reviews are pretty entertaining as well.
I did look at the reviews. Looks like about 70 percent explained their poor rating just by saying it "sucked". About 10 percent said it "blows". About 15 percent explained that what they didn't like was that it couldn't be uninstalled. And the remaining 5 percent just couldn't afford the "expensive" movies.Dude, it's Blockbuster
