Blocked call notification; How do I get rid of it?

I have a spam number on block through the Samsung UI and every time they call I get a notification (circle with line through it, with an A) in the left upper notification bar. I don't want any notification of a blocked number. I scrolled down on the notification and turned off the notification in that menu (call settings) but next time that number calls I still see it. What am I missing here ?

The next time you get the notification, from the pull down shade, swipe 1/2 to the left, then you should see two icons. The gear icon may be able to take you to the notification setting you need. I find that method more effective when tracking down any annoying notifications.

That's where I turned it off but it still shows.

Same problem here. Have several numbers blocked and still get that notification every time one of these morons call.

Try going to Settings, Applications, Phone, and check the Notification option is selected the way you want.

Hello,

I created an account because I had this same issue which was annoying the hell out of me, and I found the solution and am posting it here to benefit all of you.

I am using an S20. Should be the same process for other Samsung phones on One UI 2 like on the Note/A Series.

Go to SETTINGS > APPS > (three dots on the top right) > Show system apps > Call settings (the text, not the cog on the right) > Notifications > Blocked Call,. The slider should be grayed out, but click the actual word Blocked Call to get to the next screen where you can then make it Silent and also Minimize notifications.

Also, I'm literally a cat.

Meow.

Meow.

Also, meow.

Hi, welcome!

Which carrier you on, might be different between carriers.

I'm using an unlocked S20 on Verizon Wireless. My wife (also a cat) has an S10e with the Verizon firmware (shows a Verizon logo during boot) and also on Android 10, and I have verified the process is the same.

Oh, and when you click Call Settings on the app list, make sure you click on the word and not the little gear on the right which I did at first.

Great, thank you for sharing.

lol, I just realized he was asking you, not me. But yes, it works on the Verizon model. You have to click the Blocked Calls text as described above.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. The slider is grayed out, but you have to click the actual text Blocked Calls to get to the next screen. I edited my original post to reflect this.

Sorry, I didn't realize I had to touch on the Blocked Calls text, I thought you were referring to the text on the screen prior to that.

No Blocked Call text, greyed out or otherwise, on the Notifications page in my US unlocked S20 Ultra.
