Blocking Numbers with Fewest Clicks?

In the Note 3 to add a phone number to blocked list you longpress the number in recent call list and choose block this number. The only way I can find (other than memorizing which I'm not good at) is to tap the number in recent calls then tap info then copy the number then go back to phone screen then the 3 dots at top pick settings pick block call list then add then paste then + icon.

Is there a way with fewer clicks?

Not that I know of. Do you block that many numbers? I have had the same number for years and I still have 0 phone numbers blocked. Guess I am lucky?

Wow. You are wicked lucky. I get more garbage phone calls. No idea why.

My habit is to check unrecognized numbers on the net. They are almost all cited as spam callers. I then add the number to the list. Sometimes I recognize the number and just want to block it right away. I don't see any advantage to the new way. I must give out my number to too many people. I also notice many apps have permission to see my number for no good reason. They probably sell it.

on my s6 edge (whos last day of use is tomorrow..my N7 is getting closer lol) if you open the number in recent calls and then go to the 3 dot thing at the top the option to add to block list is there. just a suggestion

I just got asked if phone could access calendar and clicked ok. Now I still have to press the number then press info but now the 3 dots are available to block number. The screen and choices look different. Still additional steps but no copy and paste. Thanks

Yeah put your # on the national DO NOT CALL LIST. I googled it for you https://www.donotcall.gov/

It is a little more cumbersome. Different phone, different way to do things.

Thanks. I actually tried that for my landline but the people that I'm talking about a such sleazes that they don't follow that. Also it does not block charity calls nor political calls

I use Normadic Ratio's Reverse Lookup Plus - makes it very easy, plus, if they don't have the ID, you can look it up on google with one click.

How to BLOCK calls?

I get 2 maybe 3 telemarketing calls a day and haven't driven an Android for about 10 years. Now I have this fantastic Note 7 and it took me 3 days to figure out how to block certain numbers in the Call History. Not a LOT of time, just a little bit of trying over 3 days.

I finally figured it out today and I'm not tellin' anybody.

Easy. You select the number then on MORE on the top right hand corner and you select block and it let's you block calls and texts from that number

I'm not talkin' unless you have cheeseburgers, hence my avatar.
But what I found was totally different: I touch the Contact Icon next to the number and I get a little pop-up: "Block This Number" and I just select it. So now I know 2 ways. I swear I don't remember seeing "More" on the top right.

But.... uhhmm.... you gotta cheeseburger?

Right. Where you say "More" is, I have the 3 vertical dots. Pressing that doesn't offer me Block Number.

When you select a contact, select the "i" in the circle so that you could pull up that contact's information, then in the top right hand corner where you see the three dots, click it and it should give you an option to block that number.
