Blocking spam messages

I don't want to block 'ALL' unknown spam messages in case one is kosher, but, is there a way you can put individual numbers on block as you receive them ? Ie. spam texts in particular.

What phone do you have? I know with most you can open messages, hold down on the message in question, and then click mark as spam.
