Just looked over that now. I am finding it harder and harder to resist getting this phone. The blue is sooo tempting.

The proprietary fast charging is annoying though as I have lots of qc 2/3/Samsung adaptive chargers. The review indicates that these will see a 5v/1a charging speed which is very slow

You have to go through what works for you. Interestingly, B&H updated the black version to be available by the 10th. Best Buy says the 23rd. o_o

Amazon lists both black and white being released on Sept 3rd. With that being a holiday weekend for the US, I can understand if it was Tuesday or Wednesday before I have it, but if it's not going to be available until later in the month I'm going to be highly irritated, maybe to the point of looking into other manufacturers. I can't stand when someone lists all models and then don't provide accurate availability.

Edit: This would be a disappointing scenario though, I really like the look of the Honor 8,and I think the performance is putting the benchmarks to lie

I find it nice to consolidate the first impressions into one thread so everyone can see the first impressions of multiple people at one time but... Either will work.
