BLU R1 HD Audio Quality

Just ordered an Amazon version of the R1 HD. I understand that the mono speaker is, well, not good. How is audio through headphones? I bought mine to use on runs and at the gym. Wanted something cheap that I won't mind possible scuffs, drops, etc.
