Blue Bar on Screen

I received my pixel XL 2 a few days ago and everything has been going smoothly until today when a blue Bar popped on the screen. I attached a screenshot for all to see. You can see it across pixel questions in the picture. Should this go away or do I need a replacement already?

Edit... So you can't see it since it's software. Sorry about that. But it's a blue bar in the middle of the screen

Sounds like a defect test you should get replaced.

Are you sure that isn't supposed to be there? The reason I ask is, notice the bar stops exactly in the middle? I believe that blue line is there to show which tab is in the foreground, in this case the THREADS tab. The way to test if my theory is true is, press the STICKIES tab and see if the blue bar moves to the right side. Do you see what I'm saying? I believe the blue line is there to show which tab is selected. I've seen that on certain apps or webpages before, and I believe that's what you're seeing here.

it's not app specific unfortunately. it is across the screen on all apps. even the hardware. I think I might need a replacement. what's weird is how it just started randomly though

If it can't be seen on the screenshot, it's a hardware defect.

Okay, got it! Glad I just called. Replacement coming early next week!

Definite hardware issue. Glad Google is taking care of you. I had a green line issue on the first gen Pixel that they took care of.
