Was going to root my s4 but everything I connect my phone to pc to use odin it comes up a blue box and labeled com8 I have a s4 sph-l720t mdfv1.0 release 2 what method should I use to root?

Do you have the latest Samsung drivers installed? Also, are you in download mode on your device? Odin box should be yellow

thanks for replying...Yes I downloaded the current files on the site and just didn't want to chance bricking my phone up I will download the drivers from Samsung and give it a try thank you for your help and I was in download mode
