I have a blue line running down the right edge of my tablet, which is most noticeable on a black background with brightness high. Can anyone else confirm this for me? It doesn't happen all the time, just most times regardless of the rotation it stays in the same place. Also I have a lot of light leaking in through the top left of the screen. Can anybody please boost there brightness on a black background and see if its happening to you too? Thanks!

Best way to test if the blue line is software or hardware related would be to hook it up to an external monitor, but I don't have the wire lol.

I have the same thing happening to mine. I think it may be heat related since it doesn't appear until I've been on the tablet for an extended amount of time. Once it cools down, the line goes away.

Blue line does not appear on my TV after hooked up via mirrorcast. This must be a hardware issue then correct?

Are you getting any light bleeding on the top of the tablet? That's the most serious thing for me and why I'm taking it back.

Yeah, I'm thinking it's hardware related. I've read on another forum somebody else complaining about the blue line as well. I don't have any light bleeding on the screen anywhere. I was also going to return my and try another one. How is your battery life? I can get a little more that 5 hours of life with brightness at 100%. I haven't heard many people complain about the battery life so maybe the blue line in some way affects battery life? I've owned a 2013 Nexus 7 and could get about 7 hours of life with brightness at 100%, so to me 5 hours isn't that great. Yeah the display is bigger, but the battery size is also bigger than the 2013 Nexus 7.

Mine has, or rather had the same issue. I noticed it the first day I had it and it was heat related, but now I don't notice it at all.

I had a problem with the screen on the first G pad I received. It had a small spot where the screen was about twice as bright as the rest of the screen. I exchanged it and the second tab is fine. I cant see any blue line in mine on a black background unless I try to swipe the screen left or right. If I force a swipe a bright blue line appears on the edge before it rebounds back. I'm thinking if the line is there all the time it may be an lcd misaligned with the bezel.

I had the same problem on my first G Pad I had the intermittent blue line down the right side and also a lot of light bleed in the top right corner. I took mine back to Best Buy for a new one, the new one is perfect so far no blue line and next to no light bleed. I suggest if you can to take it back for a different one.

Well my 2nd G Pad also has the blue line down the right side. I was on an Amtrak over night trip and noticed it when watching a movie using the stock video player. Hopefully they can fix this with a software update I am not taking this one back I can deal with the blue line for now and really love everything else about this tablet. I went without my laptop on a 4 day trip and did not miss it one bit my G Pad did everything I needed.

If I take a screenshot then the blue line is not in the image. Therefore the blue line is a hardware fault and cannot be fixed with a software update. I am right about this?

Not sure but either way I can live with it mine only shows up after extended use watching a movie and does not bother me enough to bother with it plus I am past my 14 day return with Best Buy and would have to deal with LG support from this point on.

not that I'd wish the hassle on anyone, but i hope more people do complain to LG about the blue line. They've been so hands-off with the launch of this device I wonder if they even know this is a problem.

While I agree that it's something you have to be looking for to really notice it, it was just driving me crazy knowing it was there and it also speaks to other possible problems like poor heat management in the device.

Just sent mine to LG, and they sent the same pad back, saying that the blue line meets the manufacturer specifications, and that's normal on all tablets.. :(

You can get rid of the blue outline on an Android screen by going to "Settings, -> Accessibility -> and turn off Magnification gestures.

My Tablet Has A Blue Line Just About Down The Center. Its Not An LG. Also It Cant Be Heat Related Because Its Not Being Used Right Now And The Line Is Bigger Than Previously Seen 2 Days Ago. 🤔

Attempted To Try Your "Accessibility" Idea But My Magnification Settings Is Already Off.

Anybody Know How To Get Rid Of This Line? My Tablet Is Only 2 Wks Old This Saturday 😕
