Hi,

I dont know if i should jump on Blue or Silver.

I like the Blue, but i think it might saturate with time. Being a strong color, despite being blue. On the other hand the silver, seems more neutral, but maybe too much?

Which do you have and are you happy with it? Would you change?

Thanks

I have the Solar Red. I wouldn't change my mind unless I really had to have the 128gb model. Amazing Silver was my second choice.

Had the solar red and returned for the blue. Do not regret my decision. I have seen the amazing silver in a Sprint store and still like the blue better.

I love the blue. Got it immediately and thought I would send it back to get the Solar Red but just never did. If blue is your color, this is your phone. Period.

Yes, blue is my color, but i am more of a light blue. And the Silver seems light blue to me.

It is. It's really nice and the colors change quite a bit with different lighting angles. The Sapphire Blue doesn't really change color.

my wife has the blue and it's beautiful but I have not seen the silver so I don't know what it looks like. I have the Black and I really like it and everyone wanted red so bad you really don't see a lot of black but it's everyone's preference I have always liked black HTC phones.

blue. I returned my solar red for the blue.

How did you go about sending it back? Did you tell them you wanted to swap it for a blue one, or send it back and reorder? I originally was going to get the saphire blue but got the silver instead and regret it. I want the blue!

I was in the 30 day return period, so I just returned it and ordered another one through Amazon.

These are the two colours I'd want to if I we're to get the U11. Both of them will shift brilliantly and also show darker colours in different lights; so that is something to consider. Sometimes, the silver will almost look blue. Android Central posted a blog about "which colour U11 should you get" - it's a good read!

If you are going to use a clear case to protect your phone, I wouldn't worry too much about things like colour saturation and wear and tear. Those kinds of things happen to any phone over time, so go with what you know will make you happy! Protect it the best you can and enjoy! :)

I think if I had to choose, it'd be Silver, because it also looks light blue in some lights (in fact, I had thought it was a light blue colour because of the lighting of a photo at first!). And I've always been a fan of silver phones.

I have the "silver" and it never really looks silver to me, nor does it change color the way the red does. It's a light blue with hints of purple at the edges where the glass curves.

"HINTS OF PURPLE" that's awesome! I love purple! Haha.

If I had to swap my s8 with a U11 I would get either Solar Red or Blue, at first I wanted the Red one as it's really unique but it's too flashy while the blue has he perfect balance of a classic color while shiny enough to be awesome.
Now the real question is: How will they look with the transparent TPU cover? Is the blue one still amazing even the plastic on?

You have a good point: the red may be a bit *too* flashy! But you are right: perhaps the TPU case "hinders" the phone's shininess a bit!

I had the Sapphire Blue and it was spectacular. With the included case or the Spigen clear TPU I have, it was amazing. I broke it, like a dumbass, by recording a bunch of underwater video of coral reefs in Hawai'i, and I couldn't fix it. [Because I had nothing to lose, I took it apart like a boss, though, and I've got tons of pictures. Maybe I'll post them in a thread here if anyone is interested.] Picked up a Solar Red on Swappa a few days later and I really dig it. A lot of orange and pink hues at different angles. It also looks great in the clear TPU case, but some of the lighting effects are muted.

I'd be interested in seeing pictures! And congratulations on your Solar Red device! Glad to know the Blue and Red still look great with the clear cases!
