My Evo connects flawlessly to my 2012 Camry, but whenever I play ANY audio through Bluetooth, there is a loud crackling noise in the background ( It sounds like tiny rocks are hitting my windshield). The problem doesn't occur when playing music using the aux jack, only bluetooth.
It doesn't matter if I'm streaming music or playing music stored on the phone, the popping noise is there, and it's annoying as hell. Anyone else experience this?

Thanks

Yes, it happens in my 2011 wrx. Exactly how you described it.

I call customer service, they told me update my phone as there is an update that fixes the problem.

I did the software upgrade and still experience the same problem. I called them again, they suggested i do a master wipe of my phone...i did, now my phone quality is even worse.

After a ton of searching, I found that if I turn off WiFi, and turn down the bluetooth volume a little from the phone (just turn it up louder from the car stereo controls), the problem isn't nearly as bad.

Cool turned down like you said and turned up head set and it seems much better... Thanks for the Post! :D

Yeah mine does the same thing when I'm streaming music from my SD card or streaming Pandora. The latest OTA update didn't seem to fix the issue. First I thought my BT speaker was blown, but tried streaming on another BT speaker I have and it does the same thing.

It seems to get less noticable after a while, but it's still here. Hopefulyy HTC will address this in another OTA update.
