Bluetooth calls and headphones issue

Hello all. I've been having a small issue with my bluetooth audio pairing to my car. My car only supports bluetooth calls, not music. So I have my phone paired over bluetooth for calls and I use the headphone jack to play music through my car.

If I get a call while music is playing the call will only go through the "headphones" even though bluetooth is paired. The option to switch to bluetooth rather than headphones is grayed out as well on the call screen.

This is very annoying as I have to unplug my audio cable every time I want to take a call. My music stops playing and I have to plug it back in and go back to the music player and press play every time. Its annoying as well as unsafe. Anyone know what to do?

It is probably a function of your car. I have a Ford explorer with Sync and Bluetooth works great with or without headphones. I even get my text messages read out loud. Call takes over when I receive a phone call and music starts again when I hang up. No plugs, no fuss, no muss. Maybe try speaking with your car dealer to see if there is a better way to connect to your device.

Or you could put your car into blendtech's blender (industrial size) and get a new car....:-$
