Bluetooth calls from car

I recently upgraded my wife from her Dinc to the Razr. I paired the Razr with her car's bluetooth, and it works fine. She has some numbers stored in the car (like presets), but they won't dial unless she unlocks the phone. Is this how the Razr works, or is there a setting? She said the Dinc would just dial, regardless of whether or not is was locked.

Go to "Settings" > "Location & security"

Scroll down & check "Allow Bluetooth bypass"
