Bluetooth Connection Issues

i have an incredible 2 and a Asus Transformer and i am trying to connect the two via bluetooth. they pair way easy, but they wont connect. any ideas why? i read somewhere that it may be a Verizon thing. Other than rooting the phone (which i am a little reluctant to do), is there another way to fix this?

Networking via BT requires the Vreizon Teathering package. Unless you're rooted then there are several workarounds.
