Bluetooth control question

Hi,

Android 9, Samsung S8+

When in our car (SYNC) and have a Plantronics Legend earpiece turned on, bluetooth won't stay connected to the earpiece as primary when on a call.

1. On a call on earpiece, start car, car takes over, have to manually switch back to earpiece using the S8+.
2. On a call on earpiece in car, turn car off, earpiece disconnects, have to manually switch back to earpiece on the S8+.

Is there a setting on the S8+ or something to keep the Plantronics Legend earpiece as primary bluetooth device when on a call?

It depends on your car. Some car systems force both connections at once (Phone and Audio). See if your car has the option to turn off Call audio for the system (or once connected, on your phone, turn off the Phone option if available). If your car system 'remembers' the setting and doesn't force both connections at once, that should help with your problem.

Does your phone offer these options for the car? If so can you uncheck phone?

Check Phone for the earpiece connection and Media for the car connection.
