Bluetooth Ear Piece Mic fades in and Out

Does anyone have a recommended bluetooth ear piece that works well with their M8? I've tried Blue Ant Q3's (2) and an Jawbone ERA, both high end devices. Most people complain that they can't hear me or that its garbled. Sometimes its fine. I've tried two M8's and HTC says its not responsible for all device compatibility. I've tried hard resets and re-pairing as well as a full factory reset on the phone. Not sure if it's the bluetooth radio or the ear pieces. Anyone have any input or use an earpiece that works?
