Does anyone have an success stories on Pixel 2 xl and Bluetooth earbuds?

Google's are expensive and the prior pair I used with Galaxy are not compatible.

I have the 2, not the 2 XL, but they should be similar. I have no problem with Bluetooth anything - car, speakers, earbuds ...

Sometimes, it takes reading the instructions line by line and following them line by line (and I've been designing communications equipment for half a century, both hardware and, when it became available for the public, software - and I still sometimes have to just play dumb and follow the instructions - they don't make any sense, it shouldn't work the way the instructions say, but when I follow the instructions, it does work - come on - hold the volume down button until the light flashes?)

I have a Pixel 2 XL and have had no problem pairing Bluetooth devices to it. Here is a list of devices I've paired to mine -

Zolo Liberty+ (two pair at separate times)
Anker Soundcore speaker
Plantronics Legend
Bluedio Turbine T2 headphones

In all, not a problem with a variety of devices.

Thx, what about Bluetooth 4.1 v 5.0? My old headphones are 4.1 and a friend told me Pixel 2s must be Bluetooth 6

Not an issue, it just works at the lowest supported version. In my list, the Bluedio, Plantronics and Anker Soundcore devices are all Bluetooth 4.

Only thing I've noticed is that some devices lag the audio 1-1.5 seconds, which is really, really annoying if you're watching video. Have that issue with my Aukey and Klipsch speakers, Toyota Camry (no, no, i'm not watching while driving), but not my Klipsch R6 neckband (buds).
