Trying to find out how to do this with my phone. I have successfully transferred from my pc to the phone using the bluetooth software it has, but when I try from the phone's gallery to test, it fails. I never get any notification on my laptop that a device is communicating, which I get when I transfer from the pc, it says it on the upper notification bar. I also am having issues with the player or music via bluetooth. I honestly don't even know how it works and for what. Can I hear the music on my laptop from the phone, as in, through the laptops speakers, what if it is connected to my avreceiver via hdmi, will it play it through the speakers in my room, while I control it from my phone? All I can do is from my pc, on the taskbar, I have a bluetooth remote control. I can stop, play and pause the music player on my phone from the pc, but I am not getting any sound anywhere. Do I need to run media player or alter some settings?

Sending files via bluetooth to a PC shouldn't be a problem. I do or on a regular basis on my work laptop to send pictures that I have to email to coworkers. Check to make sure your computer is set up properly to receive incomming file transfer requests for this. As far as the function of music over bluetooth, it is more geared for listening with a bluetooth headset. The phone would still be the controller, but the sound would play on the earpiece instead of from the phones speaker. Some people may have other devices that accept audio over bluetooth and use it for them as well.

jobzombi,

I use ES File Explorer to send and receive files over Wifi on my home network all the time.

here's the link to it in the market: https://market.android.com/details?...sMSwyLDEsImNvbS5lc3Ryb25ncy5hbmRyb2lkLnBvcCJd

Just make sure you enable file sharing on your computer and set-up your computer's firewall to prevent it from blocking your phone's connection to it. I use Norton Internet Security so if you need further help just let me know.

I found out how to send a file to a pc. Make sure your phone is currently connected to your pc. At the notification bar on your pc in the bottom right corner, there should be a bluetooth icon, right click on and then click "receive file". A window should then pop up saying: "waiting for connection", then just send the file from your phone and your pc should get it.
