Bluetooth headphone control issues

I have a pair of Bluetooth headphones that I use for listening to music on my Inspire. However, recently the AVRCP controls (play/pause, previous song, next song) stopped working - the phone just won't respond to them.
This happened once before, and I ended up having to do a factory reset to get it working again - but then lost all my apps. Any tips on troubleshooting what's stealing the AVRCP controls so I can't control my music?

What music player are you using? Try going into settings and looking for headset controls. For example, in PowerAmp, I go into settings, then headset options, and there's a checkbox for "respond to headset buttons". It also warns to disable headset controls in other players, so if you have more than one player installed, that may be the problem.

I'm using the stock HTC music player. I don't have any other media player apps (Winamp, PowerAmp, DoubleTwist, etc.) but I do have a few internet radio apps - Slacker, TuneIn Radio, iheartradio, Stitcher. None of those have options for headset controls, though, so I'm not sure what could be causing it.

Maybe give SuperMonoFroyoPro a try when it occurs again, or load it now and see if it happens again. It allows TuneIn, etc, to be piped to the headset. I have used it and received calls; did a nice job of switching to the call, then back to audio again.
