Bluetooth headphone silences everything else when in call

[Android Central Question]

I recently bought a Skull candy Riff bluetooth headphone and it works nice when im listening to music and videos on youtube , but as soon as I go to a discord chat room everything else stops making sounds . I tried putting the option " headset as default but the audio is terrible and a few games sound like they are being muffled by something

Which phone ? Have you tried unpairing and pairing again ?
